Research Engineer Trainee (Geneva - Switzerland)

The FIA Research and Vehicle Safety Group is looking for a motivated and curious Research Engineer Trainee to join the team for a 12-month internship (with internship agreement) starting as soon as possible.

This is a unique opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge projects focused on the research and development of innovative solutions to enhance safety in motor sport competition.

MISSIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support the development of internal software tools for improved accident data post-processing
  • Assist with experimental testing and simulation activities within ongoing research projects
  • Perform data analysis to support accident investigations and research initiatives
  • Contribute to research project and accident reporting to relevant FIA working groups and commissions
  • Conduct literature studies to support new research projects

PROFILE:

  • Engineering student or recent graduate in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  • Proficient in data analysis tools and programming (Python or similar is a strong plus)
  • Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written)
  • Effective communication skills and team spirit

OUR OFFER:

  • Monthly allowance: CHF 2,000
  • Remote work: up to 40% of the working time
  • Transportation: participation in public transport subscription or free parking provided
  • Must be enrolled at a university and able to provide a valid internship agreement
  • Start date: as soon as possible and no later than 1 September 2025
