Electrical Engineer

Job Description

IPS is hiring! A global leader in engineering is looking to hire a passionate and talented Electrical Engineer to join our growing Swiss team in Basel.

At IPS, you will apply your knowledge, skills, and passion to make a difference in people's lives by solving complex technical challenges related to projects within the life sciences industry. As an Electrical Engineer, you will provide planning and design support, applying your educational training, creativity, and expertise to tackle engineering challenges and execute assigned tasks.

YOUR ROLE

1. Take technical responsibility in defining electrical systems for bioprocess facilities.
2. Analyze, define, specify, and document client requirements for electrical equipment.
3. Lead the design of electrical systems from concept to execution.
4. Work as part of a design team on technically challenging bioprocess projects.

Qualifications & Requirements

1. Degree in electrical engineering.
2. At least 3 years of electrical engineering design experience; exposure to the life sciences industry is a plus.
3. Knowledge of French or German electrical codes and safety standards; Swiss standards are a plus.
4. Proficiency in CAD software (such as AutoCAD, Revit, Caneco) is a plus.
5. Experience designing building electrical systems, including building services, power distribution, emergency systems, lighting, fire alarms, security, and other low-voltage systems.
6. Fluent in French and/or German and English (B1+ level).
