Head of Safety at Work

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Head of Safety at Work to lead our workplace safety initiatives and ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations. This is a strategic role that requires a proactive approach to fostering a culture of safety and well-being across the organization.

1. Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive workplace safety policies and procedures
2. Ensure compliance with local, national, and international safety regulations and standards
3. Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions
4. Provide leadership and guidance to the safety team and other departments on safety-related matters
5. Deliver safety training programs to employees and management
6. Investigate workplace incidents and accidents and prepare detailed reports with recommendations
7. Collaborate with external agencies and stakeholders to ensure best practices in workplace safety
8. Monitor and report on safety performance metrics, driving continuous improvement

1. Appropriate education and advanced training in occupational safety and health, engineering, or health protection with proven experience in a similar role
2. In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations and standards
3. Experience in designing and delivering safety training programs for employees
4. Teamwork: You engage in interactions with diverse team members and actively contribute information, ideas, and insights in meetings or other interactions
5. Problem solving: You seek accurate information to analyze problems, break down complex issues into manageable parts, and approach solutions in a systematic and structured way
6. Motivation: You are driven by purpose, taking initiative to move things forward
7. Communication: You adapt your communication style to the context and stakeholders and actively ask for information through relevant questions and active listening
8. Fluent in English; good command of German and French is a plus
