Senior Accountant

We are looking for a Senior Accountant with SAP and IFRS experience who is happy to handle day-to-day accounting for our assets across the world, and also be involved and exposed to business acquisitions, new trading areas, and company-wide digital projects.

ArrowResources AG is a global commodity trading house headquartered in Switzerland and is seeking candidates for an exciting opportunity of Senior Accountant to join its rapidly growing business. The ArrowResources group of companies is an integrated commodities trading house, actively trading base metals, concentrates, ores, natural gas, LNG, power, crude oil, and oil products.

Responsibilities

• Keeping the books of numerous group companies, domiciled in various jurisdictions, according to IFRS.
• Execute the month end trade related accounting per profit center.
• Preparing detailed monthly PnL and working capital reviews in accordance with IFRS.
• Supporting regional offices with accounting issues and their month end closing process.
• Analyzing new transactions, concluding and documenting the appropriate accounting treatment under IFRS and ensuring its application.
• Supporting traffic / operations with the preparation of ad-hoc departmental financial reports.
• Consistently challenging the status quo to ensure that activities and procedures are as efficient and effective as possible.
• Maintaining professional and technical accounting and finance knowledge.
• Guiding and advising traffic and operations on accounting day to day accounting matters.
• Preparation of statutory financial statements according to the respective requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
• 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in commodities trading sector.
• Working knowledge of tax laws and GAAP.
• Strong financial analysis skills.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong organizational and stress management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly with Excel.
• Business fluent English is a requirement; additional languages are an advantage
