About Our Client

For our client, who offers a modern and agile environment with an attractive workplace culture, we are looking for a Senior Network & Security Engineer.

Your Responsibilities

1. Operate, plan capacity, and develop the core and access networks, leveraging your enthusiasm for network and security engineering with your motivated network colleagues.
2. Design and develop technical solutions that add value for clients.
3. Manage systems, monitor network health, and analyze and resolve network issues.
4. Act as the primary contact for clients on network topics in 3rd level support, ensuring network audits and system analyses are conducted with diligence.
5. Drive service development and optimize processes in the network domain.

Your Profile

1. Completed IT education or comparable experience.
2. Deep knowledge of layer-3 networks and ability to develop firewall and VPN solutions independently.
3. Experience as a network engineer in a service provider environment, with expertise in BGP and Layer-2/3 MPLS services.
4. Comfortable working with complex IP networks and security, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
5. Practical experience in data centers, from cabling to interconnecting data centers.
6. Certifications or knowledge of Cisco, Barracuda, Brocade, Extreme, and/or Ruckus are a plus.
7. Strong customer focus and enjoyment in operations, including handling incidents, changes, and on-call duties.
8. Proactive, collaborative, and solution-oriented working style.
9. Fluent in German and English.
