About the job

The Wallet Development Kit (WDK) Software Engineer will contribute to Tether's open-source toolkit for building self-custodial wallet applications across mobile and desktop platforms. Responsibilities include technical design, implementation, and collaboration to enhance the toolkit. Experience with wallet creation or DeFi is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to innovative projects using agile methods and new technologies.
• Ensure backend scalability and responsiveness for growing user bases.
• Maintain high security standards to protect assets and data.

Minimum Requirements

• +5 years experience with Node.js and JavaScript.
• Experience building or integrating crypto wallets for DeFi/blockchain.
• Familiarity with modular architecture for scalable apps.
• Experience developing complex platforms and APIs.
• Understanding of Peer-to-Peer technologies.
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly.
• Strong security practices knowledge.

Nice to have

• Experience with high-availability systems.
• Knowledge of Go, Rust, or C++.
• Familiarity with message queues (Redis), caches, job queues.
• Mobile development experience (React Native, Flutter, or native).
