Your role

As a Trading System Engineer at Bank J. Safra Sarasin, you are in a team that develops enhancements and new solutions for our group-wide used execution trading system (FIS Front Arena AMS/OMNI, Avaloq) as well as for surrounding systems. This role contains project management work and frequent traveling between Basel and Zürich.

Your responsibilities

  • Define IT processes and workflows within our order routing and trading system, e.g. Front Arena AMS/OMNI (Market Access, Order Routing, Settlement) and Avaloq.
  • Implement, configure, and test new functionalities.
  • Analyse and support on a business level.

Your profile

  • Higher education (university / FH) in IT or natural sciences.
  • Additional training in Avaloq Certified Professional (ACP).
  • 3 years of practical experience in an IT trading environment.
  • Basic knowledge in the area of Trading (Eq, FI, Deriv, FX) as well as experience with FIX Protocol, TLS, encryption is required.
  • Knowledge in FIS Front Arena execution trading system and/or Avaloq is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work with various stakeholders.
  • Capability to work independently as well as hands-on mentality.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Fluency in English; fluency in German is a plus.
