Head of Information Technology

This mandate seeks a highly experienced and motivated Head of Information Technology with direct leadership experience to join a top IT department in St Gallen.

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Head of IT, to lead and elevate the technology function of a well-established organization.

Your Responsibilities

• Lead and inspire the internal IT team, promoting a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Oversee the design, development, and implementation of IT systems and infrastructure
• Ensure robust cybersecurity frameworks are in place and continuously evolving to meet current and future threats.
• Take ownership of the Microsoft ecosystem (Microsoft 365, Azure, Active Directory, etc.) across the organization.
• Define and execute the IT strategy in alignment with business objectives.
• Manage IT budgets, vendor relationships, and SLA compliance.
• Serve as the key point of contact between IT and executive leadership.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a senior IT leadership role, ideally as Head of IT, IT Director, or similar.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of Microsoft technologies (M365, Azure, Windows Server, etc.).
• Deep understanding of cybersecurity principles, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
• Experience building and managing high-performing teams, including managing hiring processes and performance management.
• Strategic mindset with the ability to translate business needs into technology solutions
• Fluent German is essential (written and spoken); English is advantageous.
• A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
