The Associate Application Verification Engineer I is responsible for:

  1. Conducting investigational tests and contributing to impact assessments of changes.
  2. Performing application and system design verification tests and documenting results.
  3. Analyzing data using statistical methods to identify trends.

This position reports to the Sr Manager within the R&D department, Applications team, located on-site in Grens, Switzerland.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Participating in the Biological Applications team, mastering the product lifecycle, and supporting projects in Cell Biology.
  • Contributing to functional requirements and technical documentation such as pFMEA, risk analysis, test procedures, plans, and traceability.
  • Conducting tests, analyzing data, and preparing reports.
  • Collaborating closely with application developers, engineers, and biologists.
  • Supporting key customers by analyzing machine data and writing investigation reports.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in System Engineering, Computer Engineering, Life Sciences Engineering, or related field, with 0-4 years of R&D experience in the Life Science industry.
  • Proficiency in programming languages like Java, Python, or C#.
  • Knowledge of SDLC phases, including requirements, design, implementation, testing, and maintenance.
  • Experience with data analysis, statistical methods, hypothesis testing, and regression analysis.
  • Fluency in English.

Preferred additional skills include experience with software testing, test case design, bug reporting, automation in Azure DevOps, and familiarity with Agile or Waterfall methodologies.

This is a full-time, entry-level role based in Vaud, Switzerland, within the Quality Assurance function in the technology sector.
