We are seeking a Senior Solution Engineer for the Swiss CPG market, capable of solving complex customer problems. In this role, you will collaborate directly with the global account sales team and channel partners to understand customer needs, strategize support, and guide them in selecting Snowflake as their solution.
As a Snowflake Sales Engineer, you will share our passion for tackling complex data challenges and helping organizations maximize their data assets. Our technical landscape is constantly evolving, and you are eager to learn new skills and apply them to real-world challenges. You can translate features and functionalities into solutions that address business problems, engaging with technical teams, end users, or executives.
In this role, you will:
- Present Snowflake’s technology and vision to both technical and executive audiences at prospects and customers.
- Work hands-on with prospects and customers to demonstrate and communicate Snowflake’s value throughout the sales cycle, from demos to proof of concept, design, and implementation.
- Create and develop technical champions within your accounts to drive deals and secure technical wins.
- Stay at the forefront of Snowflake technology, confidently presenting roadmap features and functionalities to customers and prospects.
- Maintain a deep understanding of industry trends, competitive technologies, and how to position Snowflake accordingly.
- Collaborate with fellow sales engineers to learn from each other’s successes and challenges.
- Partner with Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing to enhance Snowflake’s products and marketing strategies.
- Represent Snowflake at industry or customer events.
- Work with ecosystem and implementation partners to develop joint architectures and account strategies to ensure customer success.
On day one, you are expected to have:
- Extensive sales engineering or solution architect experience in a SaaS environment or relevant industry experience (analytics, data science, data engineering, etc.).
- A proven track record of delivering technical wins and building strong customer relationships.
- Experience supporting large, global CPG customers and knowledge of industry trends.
- Leadership qualities that uplift your team or region beyond your own accounts.
- Excellent presentation skills for technical and executive audiences, whether impromptu or prepared.
- Understanding of data architecture, analytics, and cloud technology.
- Hands-on experience with SQL.
- The ability to solve customer-specific business problems using Snowflake’s solutions.
- Strong customer-facing communication skills, both written and verbal.
Preferred (but not required) qualifications include:
- Experience with large, global accounts.
- Hands-on experience with Python.
- Familiarity with modern data technologies such as dbt, Spark, containers, DevOps tools, orchestration tools, and Git.
- Experience with data science and machine learning technologies.
