Our Team


Welcome to the Audi F1 Project.


Audi will be competing in the FIA Formula 1 World Championship from 2026.


The new team has three locations: Audi's Motorsport Competence Center in Neuburg (Germany), the Sauber Group's Formula 1 factory in Hinwil (Switzerland), and the Sauber Motorsport Technical Center in the UK, which will be operational this year. Our Power Unit comes from Neuburg, while Hinwil is responsible for the development of the chassis and race operations.

This position for the Audi F1 Project is based at Sauber in Hinwil, Switzerland.


Your mission

  1. Work as a surface expert within our Aerodynamics department for the Formula 1 project.
  2. Collaborate closely with aerodynamicists and CFD engineers.
  3. Generate complex surface models using the CATIA 3DExperience CAD system.
  4. Maintain and improve the methodology of surface modeling continuously.
  5. Enhance the aerodynamic performance of the race car in collaboration with aerodynamicists and other departments within tight deadlines.
  6. Develop innovative aerodynamic concept studies within CAD.
  7. Prepare CAD models for CFD calculations and refine them collaboratively.

Your profile

  1. Technical training as a designer (technical college), mechanical engineer (university of applied sciences), or technical designer with relevant experience.
  2. Experience in Formula 1 motorsport in a similar role.
  3. At least 5 years of professional experience in surface aerodynamic design.
  4. Proficiency in designing complex surface models in CATIA V5/V6/3Dx.
  5. Extensive knowledge of the GSD workbench.
  6. Familiarity with FIA Formula 1 regulations.
  7. Strong visualization skills and imagination.
  8. Excellent teamwork, organizational skills, and a strong sense of responsibility.
  9. Interest in high-tech environments and motorsport.
  10. Pragmatic with a scientific approach.
  11. Self-motivated, dedicated, creative, result-oriented, and capable of working independently with attention to detail.
  12. Stress-tolerant, persistent, open-minded, innovative, and a team player.
  13. Proficiency in English; German skills are an advantage.
