Senior Storage Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Storage Engineer for a leading bank in Geneva, Switzerland. In this permanent role, the ideal candidate would be part of an engineering and operations team and will manage and further develop the enterprise storage platforms including SAN (IBM flash system, Netapp, PureStorage and Cloudian) and provide support to cross-team activities related to tasks and/or projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide and manage storage for different consumers (block, object and archive) on different technologies (SAN, LAN, iSCSI)
• Execute operational activities like release update, patching and capacity management
• Collaborate with projects to support necessary demands
• Develop storage architecture in accordance with industry and products evolution
• Provide second level support within the existing support organization, including on-call duty

Requirements

• Higher education (university / FH) in Computer Science or similar
• 3 years of practical experience in the field of Storage and SAN Management
• Experience with Linux System Administration and/or Network Engineering
• Knowledge in VMware is an advantage
• Proficiency proof knowledge with different storage technologies
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills and ability to work with various stakeholder
• Willingness to take responsibility and hands-on mentality
• Capability to work independently
• Fluency in English: very good command in German
