Cortexia is the market leader in AI-powered solutions for environmental management, focusing on urban cleanliness and waste management. As we expand internationally, we are seeking a CFO to join our leadership team.

As CFO, you will serve as the strategic link between financial planning and daily operations. Your responsibilities include analyzing business needs, optimizing financial processes, managing accounting operations, and driving financial process implementation. You will oversee budgeting, play a key role in fundraising, and report directly to the CEO, collaborating closely with the Board of Directors.

Your responsibilities:

  • Implement financial strategies aligned with company goals, including participation in funding rounds.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and monitor key financial performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Manage accounting operations, payroll, and administrative tasks, while improving financial processes.
  • Monitor cash flow to ensure liquidity and analyze profitability.
  • Ensure accurate bookkeeping, timely financial statements, and compliance with Swiss tax and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate with auditors, tax, legal advisors, and regulators to maintain compliance and external partnerships.
  • Prepare and present financial reports to the Board and shareholders.

What you bring:

  • Degree in finance, accounting, or a related field (e.g., HEG, HEC, Swiss federal diploma).
  • Several years of experience in a senior finance role, preferably in a fast-growing company, SME, or fiduciary.
  • Strong analytical skills and strategic mindset, with the ability to align financial planning with business objectives.
  • Proficiency in French and English; German is a plus.
  • High adaptability and ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment. Excellent communication skills.

What we offer:

  • A strategic role in an innovative, impact-driven company with international ambitions.
  • Opportunities for personal and professional growth.
  • Flexible working arrangements, including remote options.
  • A dynamic, entrepreneurial culture with flat hierarchies and a focus on collaboration.
