We’re looking for an AI Product Research Scientist to help us explore and prototype groundbreaking AI-driven feedback systems—and ultimately make education more adaptive, accessible, and effective.

We're looking for an AI Product Research Specialist to join our team and help push the boundaries of what's possible when AI meets education.

Tasks

• Lead research to improve our AI-powered assessment and feedback systems
• Collaborate on AI product discovery by aligning technical innovation with customer value
• Design and implement rapid prototypes to validate new ideas in educational AI
• Define evaluation frameworks and benchmarks to measure model quality
• Work closely with the product and engineering teams to translate research insights into implementable solutions
• Help shape our AI strategy and research roadmap, initiatives, including external collaborations

Requirements

• Solid background in Machine Learning/AI or a related field (MSc/PhD or equivalent) with 3+ years of hands-on research experience
• Skilled in rapid prototyping and turning research into real-world applications
• Deep understanding of LLMs, prompt engineering, and model evaluation
• Proficiency in Python for research, experimentation, and rapid iteration
• Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and product teams; German skills are a big plus

You'll be joining our AI research team, collaborating directly with our head of product to shape the future of AI in education. While engineering handles implementation, you'll have significant autonomy in research direction and access to substantial compute resources for experimentation.
