Senior System Engineer – OT/VMware/MPLS/CyberArk

For our customer in Bern (3-4 days on site), we are looking for an experienced system engineer who feels comfortable in the OT (Operational Technologies) environment (Ref. No.: 923984RF).

Tasks:

1. Working in a team to further develop the modern platform for critical infrastructure
2. Partial assumption of responsibility for operational topics, with a special focus on servers, storage, backup and security
3. Creating the necessary documentation and developing independent concepts and specifications
4. Defining and implementing security measures
5. Active participation in proof-of-concepts (PoCs) and projects
6. Support with error analysis and troubleshooting for operational activities

Requirements:

1. Completed training in computer science (university of applied sciences, technical university or similar)
2. Experience in client-server environments (VMware, Windows & Linux)
3. Experience with Cisco routers, Fortinet products and MPLS
4. Knowledge of network management systems/surrounding systems (NMS, Syslog, Authenticator, Proxy, DNS)
5. Understanding of security topics (cyber security, IDS/IPS, EDR/XDR, CyberArk)
6. Experience in the distribution network industry (advantageous)
7. Occasional travel in the Bern region and possibly also on-call duty
8. German as project language
9. English an advantage
