Job Description:

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES

Under the supervision of the Team Lead, Partnerships, the incumbent will:

  • Provide leadership and vision for Unitaid's work on CCSE, collaborating across the Secretariat and external partners to develop guidance and ensure successful implementation of the CCSE strategy.
  • Engage with communities and civil society throughout Unitaid's investment processes, from inception to evaluation, to promote meaningful and sustainable participation.
  • Advise on CCSE to support grant development, ensuring impactful investments.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community and civil society stakeholders, especially those most impacted by Unitaid's focus areas.
  • Build and sustain partnerships with multilateral and bilateral organizations, civil society, and community networks.
  • Coordinate with partners to strengthen capacities of affected community networks for effective engagement.
  • Coordinate expert advice from civil society and community organizations.
  • Act as liaison for Communities and NGO delegations to the Unitaid Executive Board.
  • Provide updates on CCSE to management and staff.
  • Coordinate CCSE activities within Unitaid, liaising with the ERC team.
  • Prepare briefs and develop tools for CCSE and related consultations.
  • Represent Unitaid in various forums, liaising with communities and partners.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education

Advanced university degree in public health, development studies, or related field. Training in project management and negotiation is a plus.

Experience

  • Minimum 7 years of experience with Global Health partnerships and stakeholder engagement, including with governments, NGOs, civil society, communities, donors, multilateral agencies, and the UN.
  • Extensive international experience in community and civil society engagement, especially in low and middle-income countries.
  • Experience with international development organizations or global health institutions.
  • Knowledge of infectious disease control, advocacy, and social mobilization.
  • Understanding of Unitaid's work, processes, and governance.
