Data Platform Architect (Azure and Snowflake)

• Design a platform architecture that aligns with the overarching goals and strategic direction of the organization.
• Drive architectural decision-making and foster consensus within the project team.
• Oversee the operation and performance of the data platform, ensuring high availability and reliability through close coordination with the internal cloud infrastructure team.
• Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to gather data requirements and deliver effective solutions.
• Apply robust data governance practices and enforce security protocols to safeguard sensitive data.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to keep the platform modern and adaptable.
• Contribute to the organization's architecture governance by engaging with architecture review boards and aligning platform design with enterprise standards.

Requirements

• 5+ years' experience building and managing large cloud-based data platforms, ideally in finance or tech.
• Degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.
• Proven leadership in guiding teams and promoting best practices.
• Strong grasp of DevOps and Infrastructure as Code.
• Hands-on with Snowflake, Azure, ADF, Terraform, Python, and Azure DevOps.
• Cloud migration experience (from on-prem) is a plus.
• Excellent English communication; German is an advantage.
