Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Data Architect to join our new Data Office and help shape our data culture. In this role, you will work within an agile framework to define guiding architectural principles around data and oversee all data-related resources. You will participate in ongoing data initiatives and serve as the contact for technical questions around data. Additionally, you will be part of the data governance organization, ensuring robust and effective data practices. Main Responsibilities
- Design & Manage Data Architecture: Create data models, flow diagrams, and database structures, ensuring performance and cost efficiency.
- Ensure Data Security & Governance: Establish security frameworks and enforce policies for data quality, integrity, and compliance.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Work with engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to define requirements and deliver technical solutions.
- Implement & Optimize Data Integration: Develop strategies for seamless data flow and maintain documentation of pipelines and processes.
- Lead & Innovate: Provide technical guidance, stay updated with industry trends, and drive improvements in data practices.
Qualifications
- Educational Background: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Experience: Proven experience in data architecture, data modeling, and data integration, preferably in an international environment.
- Proficiency in SQL, ETL tools, data integration technologies, governance frameworks, and tools.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (mainly Azure), related services, and Snowflake (certifications are a plus).
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and best practices.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; German is a plus.
