Pharma Engineering Automation Engineer (m/f/d) Location: Basel / Kaiseraugst, Switzerland Employment Type: Full-time About the Role We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Automation Engineer with a strong background in operations engineering to join our Pharma Engineering Solutions team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting and optimizing highly automated process plants, ensuring seamless production continuity, and driving innovation through the implementation of cutting-edge automation technologies. Key Responsibilities Ensure continuous and reliable operation of production systems through proactive operational engineering. Optimize existing process plants and evaluate, test, and recommend new automation technologies. Collaborate with customers to define and initiate investment projects, including cost estimation and scheduling. Lead or contribute to interdisciplinary project teams involving internal and external stakeholders. Independently manage automation projects across all phases, ensuring adherence to cost, timeline, resource, and technical requirements. Support audits and inspections by internal and external authorities, particularly in GMP and SGU-regulated environments. Required Qualifications Completed technical education or degree in automation, electrical engineering, technical computer science, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in industrial engineering and plant construction, ideally within the pharmaceutical sector. Strong understanding of process engineering and automation systems. Proficient in Siemens PCS7, S7, TIA Portal, and WinCC. Solid experience working in GMP and GAMP-regulated environments. Fluent in both German and English. Comfortable working in an agile, self-organized team environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience with hardware planning tools such as COMOS or CAE. Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills. Strong communication and coordination abilities. Independent, customer-focused work ethic. High level of enthusiasm, initiative, and integrity.
