About

We offer you the opportunity to combine theory and practice as a Retail Specialist (w/m/d) at IKEA: In 33 months, you will learn about all areas of an IKEA store. During this time, we provide opportunities to develop your expertise and leadership skills in the following areas: Sales, Logistics, or Customer Service.

Your Qualifications

You will earn three certifications: Merchant (w/m/d) in Retail, Trainer Qualification, and Retail Specialist (w/m/d). Afterwards, you will have excellent chances to start as a successful leader at IKEA. Your training begins on 01.09.2025.

Daily Routine

  • You will learn how an IKEA store functions across departments. After the first 18 months, you will begin a 6-month specialization phase.
  • Your dual training concludes with a 9-month advanced phase, where you can choose a focus area.
  • During the specialization, you will typically transfer to a cooperating IKEA store.
  • We also offer internal training to prepare you for future leadership roles: understanding your strengths, team leadership, motivation, goal setting, organization, and cost-awareness.
  • After successful completion, you can start in one of our IKEA stores in sales, customer service, or logistics. Together with us, you will plan your career path—where it leads is up to you!
