About GC and Corporate Comms Business Partnering
The Corporate Communications Business Partnering Team is part of the Group Communications (GC) Organisation and actively embraces the new collaboration model, in which Business Partners and Centers of Excellence (CoE) work together to unleash greater impact through communications for Roche.
This key position, reporting to the Head of Corporate Communications Business Partnering, is responsible for strategic communications for the Chief Digital Technology Officer (CDTO), high priority enterprise topics from Informatics like AI Strategy and other select enterprise topics across the Roche Group that have Informatics affiliation.
The Opportunity
As a Senior Communications Business Partner in the Corporate Communications Business Partnering Team, your primary responsibility is to act as a strategic advisor and counsel to the Chief Digital Technology Officer (CDTO) and to develop impactful and effective communications strategies and plans that support reputation and positive communications outcomes related to Informatics. This involves securing buy-in for these strategies and overseeing their successful implementation.
You will develop integrated communications strategies and plans for topics and projects that elevate Roche’s reputation among internal and external audiences, including coherent storytelling around how our business will be transformed by transformative technology like AI as outlined in Roche’s Group Strategy. You will lead the internal and external executive positioning of the CDTO in collaboration with the External Engagement CoE. In collaboration with the GC CoE colleagues, you will oversee the development of engaging content as well as communications tools, channels and mechanisms to deliver high quality communications, seeking to innovate where appropriate.
In collaboration with the Digital Communications CoE, you will establish robust metrics and evaluation to measure the effectiveness of communications. You will focus and allocate resources to high-value comms opportunities, with the capability to learn and improve by tracking and measuring the impact and value.
The successful candidate will:
Bring well-rounded communications expertise and 10+ years of experience across various communications disciplines (for example: corporate communications, internal, external, media relations) to effectively guide the business.
Act as a proactive and strategic counsel for the business, bringing a bigger picture perspective and being able to prioritize, anticipate impacts, opportunities, risks/issues, while providing clear insights-based recommendations.
Own overall communications strategy and foundational messaging for designated business partner/area.
Drive reputation outcomes for Roche in the space, overseeing the end-to-end process in partnership with CoEs.
Build strong and trusted relationships with CEC members, partners/stakeholders and foster a culture of collaboration.
Navigate diverse views and expectations (under pressure) to come up with a recommendation/decision
Serve as a bridge between the Group's, AI and GC strategy - pulling in GC CoE members as needed.
Bring in and brief the CoE on the business strategy and rationale, defining together tangible outcomes and ensuring the quality of execution.
Look for synergies with other Communications Business Partners and alignment with the Comms BP for Corporate Strategy, Sustainability and Sites. Look for strategic partnership opportunities across boundaries (ex: Pharma, Dia and Diabetes Care).
