Bloom Biorenewables Ltd is a startup founded in 2019 at the forefront of the climate
crisis. With a disruptive technology developed at EPFL in 2016, Bloom’s mission is
making biomass a true alternative to petroleum. Having proved its unique technology and
value for customers, Bloom is now scaling up and becoming an industrial scale-up: Bloom
plans to build a 10m€ First-Of-A-Kind factory in the next 12 months. In this exciting
context, Bloom is looking for a CFO to bring, together with its wonderful team, the
company to its next level.
Job description

• Ensure robust financial planning and management, and especially oversee budgeting,
  forecasting, and financial reporting
• Develop and implement the funding of the company, especially by obtaining loans
  and grants for the FOAK factory
• Ensure compliance with Swiss financial regulations and international accounting
  standards.
• Manage and develop the HR and Finance team (currently one person in charge of
  accounting/HR)
• Assist the executive team to drive the company’s strategic plan and sustainability
  initiatives.
• Operate HR (optional)

The successful applicant

• 15 years’ experience in similar positions in high-growth companies in one of the
  following sectors: agro-industrial, agro-foods, green chemistry, renewable energy
  and/or environmental.
• Experience in a highly capital-intensive company requiring financial engineering
• Hands-on experience with development of financial modelling and industrial business
  plans.
• Strong interpersonal skills, especially in managing teams, and ambition to innovate.
• Fluency in English (knowledge of French is NOT required but is a plus).

Main working place: Renens, Switzerland (10 minutes from Lausanne) – remote work is
partially possible
