RF Test engineer

Imagine this… as an RF test engineer, you will contribute to a multidisciplinary team developing next generation digital radar systems. In close collaboration with design and system engineers you define test plans and setups for component evaluation, bring up and testing of modules and the full radar system. You drive the progress of our system evaluation and highly impact the quality of our designs. Based on your interest, the role can expand into system modeling, creating a behavioral model that accurately predicts hardware performance.

What You´ll Do

1. Go to person for measurement and testing
2. Plan test setups and testing routines on component, module and system level
3. Perform measurements on component, module and system level
4. Automate test setups (Python)
5. Improve test facilities
6. Evaluate and analyze measurement data
7. Apply radar signal processing for evaluation
8. Create documentation and test reports
9. Collaborate with design and system engineers
10. Handle calibration, repair and purchases of measurement equipment
11. Go to field tests (outdoor)
12. Possibility to expand into system modeling (behavioral model)

What You´ll Need

1. Proficiency with spectrum analyzers, VNAs and oscilloscopes is a must
2. Experience with High power Amplifier characterization, load pull, distortion, DPD are a plus
3. Basic understanding of RF theory and RF building blocks is a must
4. Strong understanding of ESD precautions
5. Radar system level measurements
6. Antenna and antenna array characterization
7. Experience with SDRs and waveform generators
