Senior Consultant - People Advisory Services - Tax Mobility (Geneva/Lausanne)

The opportunity

In our Mobility team, we assist clients in managing compliance, reporting, and risks associated with deploying a globally mobile workforce. This team is strategically invested in and is expected to grow significantly in the short to medium term.

As a Senior Consultant, you will lead and contribute to advisory projects such as business traveler services, equity-based compensation advice, and mobility technology, ensuring technical excellence and a practical, business-driven approach.

Join our unique Tax Mobility Team in Geneva or Lausanne and help solve exciting challenges daily!

Your key responsibilities

  • Prepare and review Swiss tax returns for employees of international client companies, ensuring compliance and optimizing tax positions.
  • Provide ongoing tax and mobility support, including advice on international assignments, cross-border tax planning, and expatriate tax issues.
  • Lead client projects by conducting tax briefings, performing research, and preparing reports.
  • Act as the primary contact with tax authorities, managing communications and negotiations to resolve issues.
  • Coordinate with global EY offices to ensure seamless service and consistent international tax solutions.
  • Build strong client relationships through regular interactions, understanding their needs, and providing tailored advice.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor, offering strategic insights to optimize tax positions and support business goals.
  • Facilitate client meetings, presentations, and workshops to discuss strategies and project updates, fostering satisfaction and long-term partnerships.

Skills and attributes for success

  • Diploma in Law, Economics, or equivalent, with knowledge of international mobility topics.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing needs and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Attention to detail, ensuring high-quality, accurate work adhering to professional standards.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and French.
  • Proactive team player with effective collaboration skills.
