Senior Tax Analyst / Tax Manager (m / f / d) EMEA (with focus on Germany)

We are seeking an experienced Senior Tax Analyst (m / f / d) for the EMEA region to support in direct tax compliance and tax projects for our EMEA headquarters located in Basel. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years of experience, preferably with a Big Four background. A strong German tax background and accounting experience are required.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Ensure accurate and timely filing of tax returns and compliance with local tax laws across EMEA countries, with a focus on Germany.
2. Prepare and provide necessary documentation to external tax consultants.
3. Prepare and review tax provisions, deferred tax calculations, and ensure compliance with international tax standards.
4. Work with finance and accounting teams to plan cash taxes and ensure timely payments.
5. Collaborate with global tax and finance teams on various projects.
6. Partner with the EMEA accounting team to streamline tax processes and improve data accuracy.
7. Coordinate and support tax audits and inquiries from tax authorities.
8. Analyze and evaluate tax audit impacts on tax positions.
9. Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on the company's operations.
10. Work closely with finance, legal, and operational teams to ensure alignment on tax matters and support business initiatives.
11. Continuously seek opportunities to improve tax processes and systems for efficiency and compliance.

Requirements :

1. Minimum 4 years of experience, preferably with a Big Four firm.
2. German tax background; passing the German tax advisor exam (Steuerberater) is beneficial.
3. Strong accounting skills and attention to detail.
4. Proficiency in SAP R3.
5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
6. Hands-on mentality and proactive approach to tasks and projects.
