Test Manager - Industrial Remote I/O Systems with Functional Safety (m/f/d)

We are looking for an experienced Test Manager to take responsibility for planning, executing, and managing product tests for our remote I / O systems.

In this role, you will provide technical guidance to an international test team, collaborate across departments, and ensure the delivery of reliable, high-quality products.

Your responsibilities include:

• Managing the test process and product testing for our remote I / O systems, including meeting functional safety requirements.
• Leading an international team of test analysts and testers, fostering a culture of cooperation and responsibility.
• Developing and implementing test strategies, creating detailed test plans with associated timelines and resources, and overseeing the entire test cycle, including functional safety considerations.
• Maintaining high quality standards across all tests and continuously improving test processes and methods.
• Communicating progress, results, and challenges to relevant stakeholders.
• Collaborating with project managers, developers, product and quality managers, and other test teams.
• Driving improvements in test execution and processes.

Qualifications:

• A degree in software engineering, electrical engineering, mechatronics, or a related field.
• Extensive experience in testing products, ideally remote I / O systems or similar technical fields, considering functional safety standards (e.g., IEC, EN ISO).
• Experience leading international project teams and risk management.
• Expertise in embedded systems, test tools, black box testing, regression testing, etc.
• Knowledge of products like microcontrollers, sensors, actuators, and industrial communication protocols (Ethernet / FSoE, PROFINET / PROFIsafe).
• Understanding of product approval processes with cybersecurity considerations.
• ISTQB certification at the foundation level; certification at the test manager level is a plus.
• Proficiency in written and spoken German and English.
• Methodical, structured working style, strong communication and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to motivate and lead a team.
