The Position

The Global Lead Project Management drives initiatives to optimize methodologies for project initiation and execution, developing project organizations and defining capability requirements across different project types and phases. This role collaborates closely with global functions in Project Control, Project Compliance, and Contracting Management to establish globally applied guidelines, methods, and metrics for CAPEX project management. Serving as the central link between all engineering functions, this position aims to increase efficiency and flexibility, expand best practices, and manage resources in project execution.

Key Responsibilities

This role encompasses leading optimization initiatives for project initiation and execution, maintaining Project Practices guidelines for Project Governance, Stakeholder Management, and project phases, and leading the Global Expert Panel for Project Management. It involves contributing to the improvement and harmonization of project management principles and standards as a proactive member of the Engineering Council, while also enforcing and fostering a global project management community. Further responsibilities include developing right-sized project organization and capability standards, aligning stakeholder engagement with project phase needs, and defining principles for project specification and user requirement definitions. The role also involves developing and implementing cost estimation practices for complex large-scale projects, driving project and process improvements based on Project Closure Reports and Lessons Learned, and bringing expertise in structured problem-solving and continuous improvement to the engineering organization. Finally, this position involves benchmarking with other companies and industries to advance project management intelligence and the use of data for predictions and simulations.
