Senior Pricing Actuary (all gender) Non-Life, Part-Time or Full-Time

Join Helvetia Insurance Switzerland as a Senior Pricing Actuary (all gender) Non-Life, Part-Time or Full-Time.

Location: Basel or Zurich Stettbach with Flex-Office option.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development, maintenance, and enhancement of advanced pricing models supporting underwriting and product development using actuarial and data science techniques.
• Develop pricing tools (e.g., in Excel/Python) and define specifications for implementation in underwriting IT systems.
• Provide strategic insights and recommendations to underwriting and senior management based on pricing analyses.
• Collaborate with underwriting, claims, and finance teams to optimize pricing strategies.
• Improve pricing processes for better efficiency and accuracy.
• Stay updated on industry trends, risks, and regulatory changes to enhance pricing models.

Qualifications

• Degree in a quantitative field (Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Data Science, Statistics, or related).
• Professional actuarial designation (e.g., SAV, DAV, IFoA) preferred.
• Experience in insurance/reinsurance pricing or related.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with SAS, R, Python, SQL Server, MS Office VBA.
• Fluent in English and German; additional languages a plus.
