The Process Engineer for Pulses is part of the Business Unit (BU) Special Grains and Pulses, reporting directly to the Head of the Business Segment Pulses. They support the full segments M2M and C2C processes with technological expertise, advising on new developments, creating process diagrams for customer inquiries, and leading startups. They also support global sales and technology organizations with technical and sales advice.



This is where you'll excel

  • As a Senior Process Engineer, support sales, quotations, and project execution in technological matters.
  • Consult customers on technology, spare and wear parts, retrofit packages, service contracts, and eBusiness solutions. Provide technological training to customer personnel.
  • Create flowsheets for pulses and protein applications, including all relevant details up to control and approval.
  • Develop solutions for customers considering standard processes and ongoing R&D.
  • Perform plant start-ups of complex solutions, including documentation and control system acceptance procedures.
  • Coordinate and support trials in Application Centers.
  • Develop and roll out global standards, supporting application, training, and new developments with a complete solution approach, technological know-how, and customer insights.

These are the skills you'll need

  • Apprenticeship as a Miller, preferably with a background in SMS or DMSB, or a completed diploma in Feed Milling Technology (SFT), or 2-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Advanced knowledge in flour/feed/specialty milling process technology; experience beyond milling (e.g., extrusion) is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in English; German is desired. Additional languages are a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, independence, self-motivation, and engagement.
  • Good communication, consulting, time management skills, and the ability to manage conflicts within diverse, multicultural teams.
  • Customer-oriented with a professional demeanor; previous customer-facing experience is advantageous.
  • Willingness to travel internationally (20%-50%).
