Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Proactive processing of DB change requests according to the Kanban board (e.g., scripting, documentation).
- SQL query performance analysis to optimize access in collaboration with development teams.
- Configure and monitor DB replication streams.
- Plan and execute all DB migrations from development to production.
- Develop and maintain existing documentation and script libraries (TACL - Tandem Advanced Command Language).
- Proactively monitor application queues at the server level.
- Dimensioning of the FO application (number of instances, parallel operations).
- Ensure tables and disks do not overflow; define measures in collaboration with system specialists.
- Participate in planning hardware capacity expansions.
- Support the release manager, including creating rough schedules.
- Optimize the DB deployment process.
- Maintain the MySQL database regarding changes or evaluations, including configuration adjustments and dimensioning before GoLive.
Who Are We Looking For:
We seek big thinkers—people who can drive positive change, step up, and show what’s next. The ideal candidate has:
- At least 3 years of experience with relational database systems (SQL, Access).
- Experience in performance analysis of database queries and accesses.
- Support and coach development teams in database design and access optimization.
- Experience creating scripts to port changed databases (DEV - Production).
- Manage and extend script tool libraries using technologies such as DOS, BASH, VisualBasic.
- Knowledge of JAVA, C, VisualBasic (optional).
- Framework knowledge / experience with Jenkins & GIT, and the HPNS platform is an advantage.
- Experience in capacity planning of platforms and applications.
- Proficiency in written and spoken German and/or French; business-fluent English skills are required.
