Senior Radio-Frequency Integrated Circuits (RFIC) Design Engineer

1 week ago Be among the first 25 applicants

We are seeking a highly skilled and self-innovated Senior RFIC Design Engineer to contribute to the development of advanced transceiver front-end modules and beamforming integrated circuits (ICs) for Satellite Communications (SATCOM),Radar, and terrestrial wireless communication applications. The candidate will be responsible for the design and validation of critical RF building blocks and system ICs using CMOS and/or III-V semiconductor technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement high-performance RF front-end building block circuits, such as Power Amplifiers (PAs), Low Noise Amplifiers (LNAs), and RF Mixers, tailored to SATCOM, radar, or 5G/6G wireless system requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with the system architecture team to define block-level specifications aligned with overall system objectives.
  • Interface with the 2.5D/3D electromagnetic (EM) simulation team to guide layout-aware EM modeling and interpret simulation results for layout optimization.
  • Work alongside the RF test team to establish robust testing setups, conduct measurements, and perform post-silicon debugging and validation.
  • Contribute to the full product design cycle from schematic design and layout to tape-out and silicon characterization.

Required Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree with 3+ years of industry experience, or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, with a focus on RFIC, Analog IC, or Microwave Engineering.
  • Proficiency in Cadence Virtuoso environment, including schematic entry, ADE, simulation (MMSIM/Spectre), and layout flow.
  • Strong working knowledge of Calibre DRC/LVS/PEX verification and post-layout validation methodologies.
  • Demonstrated expertise in RF verification techniques, including S-parameter analysis, harmonic balance, noise figure, and linearity extraction.
  • Solid understanding and practical experience in 2.5D/3D EM simulation and modeling; ability to interpret EM results and incorporate into RF design.
  • Proven tape-outs and silicon measurement experience for complex RFICs and/or mm-Wave ICs.
  • Hands-on RFIC design experience with advanced CMOS or CMOS SOI technologies (below 65nm CMOS).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in RFIC or mm-Wave IC product designs.
  • Experience in RFIC designs using GaAs or GaN technologies for space radiation-hardening applications.
  • Familiarity with industry standard tools such as Keysight ADS, AWR Microwave Office, and advanced EM tools (e.g., EMX, HFSS, EMPro).
  • Experience in multi-physics simulation environments involving 3D/2.5D EM analysis and interconnect modeling.

What You will Gain:

  • Working with a world-class wireless IC technology team for next-generation satellite communication products (SATCOM), radar, and terrestrial network products
  • Exposure to advanced RF/mm-Wave wireless systems from initial concepts to products
  • Opportunity to contribute to real product developments
  • Building a professional career within a collaborative, cross-functional, and supportive engineering environment
