Senior Industrialization-Embedded Devices Engineer

ROLE

1. Act as technical coordinator for the industrialization of hardware developments, supporting a multidisciplinary team in terms of mechanics, electronics, and optical developments.
2. Identification of suppliers and partnerships for future embedded device developments.
3. Build and manufacture prototypes, benches, calibration tools, performing optical measurements, tests, and validations for embedded device developments.
4. Ensure design for manufacturing (DFM) aspects in new product developments (validate product design documents and test strategy).
5. Be the preferred interface between internal product development team and suppliers.
6. Provide support during manufacturing and assembly of devices and sensors, including product change requests, assembly, and calibration tools specifications.
7. Commissioning of production lines at our subcontractors’ facilities.
8. Perform issues analysis at design/prototype stage as well as at manufacturing/production, being the owner of manufacturing flow charts, tools, bills of materials, and versioning.
9. Be responsible for products certifications, preparing the documentation and submission of files for certification applications and being the direct contact with certification organizations.

PROFILE

1. Technician/Engineering degree in Electronic, Mechanical, or Optical engineering.
2. 5-10 years of experience in industrialization engineering and hardware development.
3. Strong background in electronic devices releases, reliability, coordination, testing and evaluation, maintainability.
4. Suppliers’ coordination for medium/low volume industrial devices manufacturing (embedded devices).
5. Work processes and optimization methods.
6. Good knowledge of SAP or other production management tools.
7. Development software knowledge, ideally: Solidworks, Altium, Zemax, Labview.
8. Experience with Confluence, Jira, MS Project, is a plus.
9. Proactive, hands-on, autonomous, well-organized, and structured.
10. Team player, flexible, motivated, and displaying transversal leadership skills.
11. Fluent in written and spoken English/French.
