And we get to do the best work of our career and grow our skills surrounded by colleagues who have our backs.

If you’re ready to see your impact and unlock incredible career growth opportunities, join us, and build real-world value.

The Work:

The Sr. Staff Software Engineer will help lead and build the next generation of crypto custody platforms that enable banks to secure their funds and build an Internet of Value. Ripple’s distributed financial technology outperforms today’s banking infrastructure by driving down costs, increasing processing speeds, and providing transparency into payment fees, timing, and delivery.

What You’ll Do:

  1. Build, scale, and maintain enterprise crypto custody applications that secure customer funds with the highest standards of cybersecurity.
  2. Collaborate with wider technical teams on designing, deploying, and improving backend applications.
  3. Serve as a technical domain expert, providing leadership and sharing expertise with a growing team of engineers.
  4. Enhance engineering standards by implementing best practices for architecture, coding, testing, and deployment.

What You’ll Bring:

  1. 10+ years of hands-on software development and architecture experience with large-scale distributed backend systems, with at least 5+ years in Java (Spring framework), Rust, or Scala, and 4+ years in a tech lead role mentoring others.
  2. Experience building transactional systems, preferably in payments, banking, or e-commerce, backed by an RDBMS. Cybersecurity experience is a plus.
  3. Experience with cloud applications on AWS or Azure, and technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
  4. Experience with Agile development, focusing on robust design, scalability, availability, and security.
  5. A collaborative mindset and a passion for knowledge sharing.
  6. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related field.
