About Our Client

Our client, a leading alternatives investment advisor, is currently looking to hire a Funds Counsel into their Zurich team. The firm provides investment solutions for multiple private markets investment institutions globally and has recently expanded its European presence, increasing legal support within the region.

What the job involves

As the Funds Counsel, you will support the firm's global offices, focusing on fund formation and structuring. This is a new position for the Zurich team, offering autonomy and development opportunities. The role involves direct reporting to the firm's Global General Counsel and close collaboration with internal front office teams and external providers.

• Advise on the structuring, formation, and operation of private market investment funds
• Provide legal guidance on Swiss and Luxembourg regulations
• Draft, review, and negotiate key fund documentation
• Advise on fundraising, investor negotiations, and distribution strategies
• Manage projects and engage with outside Counsel
• Handle ad-hoc internal legal work

Who we are looking for

• Qualified Lawyer with a Swiss Bar admission
• Experience in private markets fund formation and structuring
• Experience gained in large law firms; in-house experience is a plus
• Knowledge of Luxembourg fund regulation is essential
• Comfortable working in a small team environment
