Job Description:

Swissquote is seeking an experienced professional to lead our Fixed Income and Funds trading activities. As the Head of Fixed Income and Funds, you will oversee two teams of traders, manage key external relationships, drive operational efficiency and technology initiatives, and contribute to the strategic direction of our Fixed Income and Funds offerings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Team Management:
• Creating a motivating, productive, and safe environment by: fostering a positive work atmosphere, promoting collaboration, trust, and cohesion, ensuring clarity of vision and objectives, addressing conflicts, supporting employee growth, and ensuring proper onboarding and fair promotion processes.
• Performance Management: setting expectations, providing feedback, conducting reviews, and managing performance issues.
• Succession Planning: identifying and developing key talent for continuity.
• Talent Development and Retention: creating motivating career paths, skills development programs, and retention strategies.
• Managing HR processes: guiding hiring, termination, transfers, warnings.

Operations management:

• Fixed Income counterparty management: developing relationships with trading counterparts for efficient execution and automation.
• Fund relationship management: maintaining relationships with fund providers for optimal conditions and automation.
• Operational Excellence: driving efficiency and improvements in daily operations and technology projects.
• Product Management: collaborating internally to improve Fixed Income and Money Markets offerings.
• Commercial Involvement: supporting business growth and product development.
• Representing: representing the department internally.
• Documentation and Procedures: ensuring documentation is current.

Qualifications:

• 3–5 years of managing a Fixed Income trading desk, with exposure to Money Markets or Investment Funds preferred.
• Strong understanding of Fixed Income markets, instruments, and regulations.
• Experience with trading operations, technology, and automation.
• Good network with fixed income counterparties; experience with fund providers is a bonus.
• Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
• Proactive mindset with strategic and hands-on capabilities.
