AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.
Amazon Web Services came to China in 2013, and has been relentlessly investing and expanding our infrastructure and business since then. Amazon Web Services launched its China (Beijing) Region (operated by Sinnet) in September 2016 and its China (Ningxia) Region (operated by NWCD) in December 2017. In 2019, Amazon Web Services added a new region in Hong Kong, making China the only country with three Amazon Web Services regions aside from the U.S. In 2022, Amazon Web Services launched Local Zone in Taipei. This is why the Industry cluster GF team is looking for a BD Manager, Auto GF who is passionate, intelligent, and dedicated to expand AWS business in China local market.
Key job responsibilities
- Drive revenue and market share in automotive industry with strong engagement; Identify & engage Auto industry customer or any other customer assigned by Amazon; meet or exceed quarterly revenue targets.
- Develop and execute against a comprehensive account/territory plan; create & articulate compelling value propositions around AWS services.
- Accelerate new customer adoption based on volume sales play; maintain a robust sales pipeline & reporting; work with partners to extend reach & drive adoption.
- Possess the technical ability to explain (not implement) Cloud Computing, infrastructure solutions (Server, Storage, DC Services) & Internet architectures (firewalls, load balancers, etc).
- Develop case studies; manage contract negotiations; develop long-term strategic relationships with key accounts; develop account plan for key accounts and territory; ensure customer satisfaction (managing pre-sales and post sales customer experience)

• Minimum of 8 years’ experience in technology-related sales or business development roles.
• Proven track record of successful sales or winning cases in automotive industry, specifically with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), Tier 1 suppliers, or other emerging EV businesses.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Engineering, Computer Science or related disciplines).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience with cloud solutions, virtualization, big data, AI, or other leading solutions is a significant advantage.
• 8+ years of direct sales or business development in software, cloud or SaaS markets selling to C-level executives experience
• Extensive knowledge and experience in the automotive industry, with a focus on Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), Tier 1 suppliers, Auto-Tech, Electric Vehicles and related technologies.
• Demonstrated success in managing large key accounts or high-volume business, with a consistent record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
• Extensive customer and industry contact network within the automotive sectors.
• Master’s degree or MBA is highly desirable.
