Background

We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to oversee the delivery and coordination of the TDS Platform, running on Databricks. This role is critical in driving projects using an Agile development methodology, ensuring collaboration, iterative delivery, and alignment with evolving business needs. The ideal candidate will have excellent stakeholder management, communication skills, and project delivery expertise, working closely with platform engineers, architects, business analysts, and stakeholders across the organization. The candidate should be capable of working autonomously while leveraging team insights and guidance.

Tasks

1. Agile Project Management: Plan and deliver projects using Agile frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban), ensuring flexibility, transparency, and continuous improvement.
2. Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary contact for business and technical stakeholders; translate technical updates into clear business language.
3. Planning and Coordination: Develop and maintain product backlogs, manage sprint planning, track progress through Agile boards, and facilitate retrospectives.
4. Technical Alignment: Collaborate with platform engineers and technical leads to ensure solutions are robust, scalable, and aligned with standards.
5. Quality Assurance: Ensure all deliverables meet quality and success criteria, including functionality, reliability, security, and performance.
6. Communication: Provide regular status updates to leadership and stakeholders.
7. Risk Management: Identify risks early and lead mitigation strategies.
8. Process Improvement: Drive continuous improvement based on Agile principles and team feedback.

Experience and Skills

• 10+ years of technical project management experience, preferably in data platform or cloud environments.
• Strong understanding of modern data platforms; familiarity with Databricks, Azure/AWS, Spark, or similar technologies is highly desirable.
• Experience delivering projects in Agile environments; Scrum Master certification is a plus.
• Proven stakeholder management skills; ability to influence and manage diverse stakeholders.
• Exceptional communication skills; ability to simplify complex technical topics.
• Highly organized and proactive, focused on delivering outcomes.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; certifications like PMP, Agile Certified Practitioner, PRINCE2 Agile are advantageous.
• Experience with data platform transformations, cloud migrations, or large-scale analytics.
• Knowledge of data governance, compliance, security standards, and DevOps/CI/CD processes in cloud environments.
