We have an exciting opportunity for a Procurement Manager Machine Parts & Indirects to join our manufacturing client in Zurich.

You will lead their European-focused spend, weighting towards Direct Materials used in the Automotive, Manufacturing, and Machinery production sectors.

Key responsibilities as Procurement Manager Machine Parts & Indirects include:

• Drive Procurement solutions by showcasing technical understanding of Machinery
• Take an engineering-driven approach and manage purchasing of Raw Materials such as Castings, Metals, Steel, Engine Parts, and broader materials used in industrial vehicle manufacturing
• Pick up Indirect spend coverage, with a focus on MRO, Utilities, Temporary Labour, and Freight
• Showcase Procurement expertise and understanding of market factors related to materials used in vehicle manufacturing
• Contribute to Procurement optimization projects and take Procurement within the business to the next level
• Bring cost savings through optimized Procurement methods - operate within the organization in a business partnering approach
• Lead a team covering Project Procurement and Strategic Sourcing

The ideal candidate profile:

• Educated to degree or equivalent level, ideally in an Engineering or Supply Chain-related discipline
• Have 10+ years' experience in Procurement, with a focus on category management in Direct materials related to Machinery manufacturing (Indirect exposure would also be an advantage)
• Hold technical knowledge of materials used in automotive and industrial manufacturing industries
• Have previously worked either regionally or globally in a multi-national organization
• Fluent in English, German would be beneficial but not essential
