Manufacturing Methodology Engineer (Group Leader)

Position: 100% Full-time, CDI

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure project execution occurs within the process flow without disruptions.
  • Allocate materials properly across project phases, maintaining quality standards and adhering to JIT principles.
  • Conduct technical evaluations for make/buy decisions.
  • Align and communicate regularly with key stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement manufacturing methods to optimize processes and reduce waste.
  • Support project execution through Simultaneous Engineering.
  • Hire, train, and supervise a team of 8-10 Manufacturing Methodology specialists.
  • Assess team performance, provide feedback, and foster a positive work environment.
  • Train teams on new processes and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers and Mechanical Engineers for project follow-up.
  • Provide proactive support during urgent situations to prevent delays.
  • Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and standards (including ESG).

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor or Master Degree in Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering or related field.
  • Proven leadership and organizational skills.
  • Experience in manufacturing management roles.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing and project management processes, methodologies, and standards.
  • Project management certification is an asset.
  • Strong analytical skills for data-driven decision-making.
  • Familiarity with industry-specific standards and regulations is an asset.
  • Ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills.
  • Deep knowledge of Process Improvement tools like JIT and DMAIC.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Project, SAP, and proficiency in MS Office tools.
  • Fluent in French and English.
