Job Description:

We are seeking a Ground Segment Systems Engineer to join the System Delivery Germany team. The department develops satellite communication systems for civil and military clients. The role involves designing, developing, and procuring ground segment extensions and modifications for SATCOMBw and EDRS systems, supporting satellite operations, and managing procurement activities from RFP to final acceptance. The engineer will also oversee implementation into operational environments and serve as a technical point-of-contact during operational phases.

This position requires multidisciplinary knowledge and innovative thinking.

  • Requirements engineering using DOORS
  • Design activities for ground systems, including requirement, interface, and data flow management
  • Establish requirements for ground stations, control centers, networks, and data centers
  • System trade-offs and architecture support
  • Verification, validation, and operational planning
  • Provide technical support on planning, contractual, and risk management issues

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Microwave, Telecommunications, Electronics, or related fields
  • Knowledge of ground segment engineering and data flow interfaces
  • Strong understanding of RF communication, antenna design, and software systems
  • Experience with Ground Station engineering and operational procedures
  • Business fluency in English and German
