Legal Consultant - Part time for 7 weeks

Wecheer is seeking a skilled Legal Consultant starting Mid-May, for 7 weeks or possibly longer (hours may vary), to support the review and refinement of commercial contracts, particularly Master Service Agreements (MSAs), during a period of contract optimization.

This project-based role is ideal for a legal professional who combines contract law precision with commercial awareness, and can operate independently while aligning closely with internal stakeholders across departments.

️ Key Responsibilities

• Review, redline, and improve MSA templates and client-specific commercial contracts
• Identify potential legal, operational, and commercial risks within contractual clauses
• Propose actionable solutions and alternatives that are both protective and pragmatic
• Align closely with business teams to ensure contracts meet legal standards and operational realities
• Ensure clarity, consistency, and enforceability in contract language

Key Skills & Experience

• Strong background in contract law and international commercial agreements
• Ability to analyze and draft contracts with precision
• Skilled in identifying legal risk and articulating trade-offs
• High commercial sensitivity: knows when to push and when to adapt
• Excellent written English; ability to explain complex legal points clearly

Ideal Profile

• 5–10+ years of experience in roles like Legal Counsel, Contract Coordinator, Paralegal, or Legal Consultant
• Experience working in international or cross-border contract contexts
• Comfortable working independently and asynchronously across time zones
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Bonus: familiarity with fast-paced, tech-enabled or startup environments
