Job Description

This is an initial contract running for 12+ months with a strong likelihood to extend on a long-term basis (up to five years), starting by August.

Joining a diverse and multicultural team of IT Vendor Managers and an IT Vendor Software Asset Manager, the new hire will manage vendor contracts, performance, risks, and relationships, ensuring optimal value and de-risking dependencies on external parties.

The Senior IT Vendor Manager will negotiate contracts in collaboration with senior IT leaders, IT Product Managers, Procurement, and Legal.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Vendor Relationship Management: Develop and maintain relationships with Microsoft, acting as the primary contact, fostering collaboration aligned with organizational goals.
  2. Demand Management: Lead planning and execution of demand collection across product owners and stakeholders.
  3. Contract Negotiation and Management: Lead negotiations for Microsoft Enterprise Agreements, ensuring favorable terms and managing the contract lifecycle.
  4. Operational Tasks: Oversee license ordering, Bill of Materials, Catalogue management, and invoicing processes.
  5. Performance Monitoring: Track KPIs to evaluate vendor performance and implement corrective actions.
  6. Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks, develop strategies, and partner with Microsoft to support the Bank's Resilience Plan.
  7. Cost Optimization: Assess and optimize Microsoft costs, identify savings, and support cloud spend management with FinOps practices.
  8. Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with internal teams and provide updates to leadership.
  9. Market Analysis: Stay informed on industry trends, emerging technologies, and potential vendors.
  10. Compliance and Governance: Ensure compliance with regulations and maintain documentation.

Requirements

Candidates should have:

  • At least 10 years of experience in IT vendor management, particularly in strategic roles.
  • Experience managing Microsoft as a strategic vendor or a background in Microsoft-related roles.
  • Proven success in managing vendors in complex environments, negotiating contracts, and renewing partnerships.
  • Deep knowledge of software and license contract law, especially regarding Microsoft.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft technologies, IT infrastructure, and vendor management best practices.
  • Fluency in English.
