Job Description

Johnson & Johnson is recruiting for a Director BPO Data Management located in in either Titusville, NJ; Raritan, NJ; Zug, CH; Schaffhausen, CH; Leiden, NL; Cork, IE; Latina, IT or Beerse, BE.

As we are building out our Data Strategy and Operations organization as part of our Value Chain Management in the Innovative Medicine Supply Chain, we are creating this role as part of our Data Strategy and Operations Leadership Team. The Director BPO Data Management will be supporting the Transcend Innovative Medicine Program. IM Transcend is a is a multi-year global business transformation initiative that will modernize our end-to-end Supply Chain digital capabilities by harmonizing our disparate ecosystem of 7+ major global PHARM ERP systems, standardizing our core business processes and products [across Plan, Source, Make, Deliver, Quality, and Data], and enabling our integrated data strategy through a single SAP S/4 HANA instance.

As the Director BPO Data Management, you will serve as the Global Business Process Owner driving the product vision and strategy for E2E data across the functional requirements and assure alignment on E2E data processes.

In this role you will be responsible for guiding the business functions to ensure the common goal of creating and maintaining a clean core and clean data. You ensure operational processes like workflow, data cataloguing, KPIs are standardized, and the business partners are deployment ready.

You are an advocate for the vision and the changes that the clean core- clean data concepts will bring to the organization, and you anticipate and mitigate roadblocks and challenges.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for Value Identification and Value Capture for Data Management and E2E Data
  • Drive Standardization of process within the S4 Template while ensuring the needs of the federated data owners and consumers are effectively met
  • Identify standardization, automation and improvement opportunities as it relates to Data Management
  • Partner with functional stakeholders to understand current requirements as it relates to end-to-end data.
  • Drive Impact Assessments and define Impact Mitigation Strategies for the digital ecosystem that is consuming SAP ECC and in the future S4/Hana data
  • Assure readiness of operational processes to assure clean data after releases of Transcend
  • Resolve complexities related to data management during the transition period where SAP ECC and S4/Hana coexist

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in data management/data science, Supply Chain Management or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.

Required Skills

  • 8+years of experience of leading multi-year strategy or technology deployment with focus on data management or data capabilities
  • 5+Experience working in a pharmaceutical global supply chain spanning across multiple functions (plan, source, make, deliver and quality)
  • Experience in ERP Transitions and Transformations
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of capabilities of state-of-the-art data technologies (data catalogues, Lakehouse etc.) and howe they relate to the SAP Ecosystem
  • Strong Stakeholder Management and capability to empathize with business partners
  • Proven experience setting up federated data governance model and managing cross functional teams and projects
  • Proven track record to build partnership to inspire change and deliver results across complex ecosystems.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret and communicate complex data-related concepts to various stakeholders.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Good understanding of regulatory requirements affecting data in pharmaceuticals (e.g., FDA, EMA, GDPR).
  • Familiar with Industry Standards related to Data management in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Project Management Certification
