Cloud Software Engineer

ManTech is seeking a Cloud Software Engineer to join our team in the Ft. Meade, MD area. In this role, you will develop, maintain, and enhance complex Big-Data cloud systems based on documented requirements.

Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:

• Design and develop software solutions using Kubernetes.
• Collaborate with team members to determine best practices and client requirements for software.
• Develop high-quality software design and architecture.
• Identify, prioritize, and execute tasks in the software development life cycle.
• Develop tools and applications by producing clean, efficient code.
• Automate tasks through appropriate tools and scripting.
• Review and debug code.
• Perform validation and verification testing.
• Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to fix and improve products.
• Document development phases and monitor systems.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, or 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• At least 3 years of experience in software development/engineering in programs of similar scope and complexity.
• Strong programming skills in languages such as Go, Python, or Java.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and GitOps principles.
• Hands-on experience with container technologies (Docker, containerd) and orchestration tools (Kubernetes, Helm).

Certification Requirements:

• One or more of the following certifications or the ability to obtain them:
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate
• AWS Certified SysOps Administrator
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional
• AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Professional
• Certified Kubernetes Application Developer
• Certified Kubernetes Administrator

Clearance Requirements:

• Must have current/active TS/SCI w Polygraph clearance.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
• Frequently operates a computer and office machinery.
• Communicates regularly with co-workers, management, and customers, often delivering presentations.
