As a Principal Scientist – Cardiometabolic, you will develop research strategies, lead cross-functional teams, and ensure scientific robustness in our non-clinical Health and Disease Research team. Your role includes preparing key documents, presenting proposals, and engaging with internal and external scientific experts.

Your responsibilities include:

1. Developing impactful research strategies, plans, and budgets aligned with business needs.
2. Leading project teams to ensure effective research execution within timelines and budgets.
3. Providing scientific guidance and solving complex challenges.
4. Presenting program updates and outcomes, and preparing related documentation.
5. Ensuring scientific rigor from study design to data interpretation and publication.
6. Engaging with internal disciplines and external partners and experts.

Who we’re looking for:

• PhD in Biological Sciences with post-doctoral experience or equivalent.
• At least 10 years in non-clinical/translational research, with expertise in Cardiovascular and Metabolic diseases; experience in tobacco-related diseases is a plus.
• Leadership experience in industry research programs, including strategy, planning, and budgeting.
• Strong strategic thinking, scientific leadership, and effective communication skills.
• Excellent analytical skills and decision-making ability in complex situations.
• Results-oriented with fluency in English, both written and spoken.
