Are you a mass spectrometry scientist with a passion for innovation and problem-solving? Join our global dynamic scientific software consulting team in Basel and make a significant impact in the biopharmaceutical industry.

In this role, you'll leverage your expertise in mass spectrometry, data processing, and analysis to develop comprehensive end-to-end solutions that address the critical needs of our biopharmaceutical customers using our cutting-edge enterprise software, Genedata Expressionist.

As a key member of the Genedata Expressionist scientific consulting team, you'll be at the intersection of science and business, acting as a mass spectrometry data expert. You'll collaborate closely with external customers and internal teams, including sales, software development, and marketing, to deliver exceptional results.

We're seeking an inquisitive and critical thinker who can simplify and communicate complex issues effectively. This interdisciplinary, multi-faceted position offers an exciting opportunity to support, shape, and promote a successful, state-of-the-art software solution.

This full-time position is based in our Basel office and offers flexible working hours to support seamless global communication both customers and colleagues.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Support our customers and identify their needs as the go-to domain expert in mass spectrometry data analysis
  • Plan and conduct training sessions at customer sites
  • Identify and understand customer requirements, encompassing the complete data lifecycle
  • Manage, execute, and deliver service projects independently to meet customer needs
  • Support our sales teams with product expertise, scientific presentations, and software demonstrations during pre- and post-sales activities
  • Compile customer feedback and identify new analytical methods and solutions to address their challenges
  • Collaborate with the software development team to create new features that address customer challenges

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in mass spectrometry, with a strong preference for expertise in protein analysis and biotherapeutics characterization and/or Ph.D. in Analytical Sciences, Biochemistry, Bioinformatics, or related field.
  • Excellent presentation skills and advanced proficiency in English communication (verbal and written).
  • Ability to thrive in a cross-functional, collaborative environment.
  • Strong initiative and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Enthusiastic about partnering with customers to solve their mass spectrometry data challenges.

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

Approximately 20% travel, including occasional trips to Europe.
