Senior Accountant

Main activities

This role is crucial in the digital transformation of the finance function, requiring both technical and accounting expertise.

• Drive process improvements and digital transformation to enhance accounting workflows.
• Configure and optimize data to automate invoice reading and entry.
• Define and structure the workflow from purchase to payment.
• Optimize accounting processes by eliminating redundant data entry and integrating digital tools.
• Stay updated with technological advancements and propose process improvements.
• Manage the full accounts payable cycle, including invoice reception, payment, account reconciliation, and archiving.
• Capitalize fixed assets, perform monthly depreciation, documentation, disposal, and impairment losses.
• Handle the tax cycle, including VAT and corporate taxes.
• Reconcile and control payroll journal entries, including provisions.
• Perform monthly and annual closings within your scope of responsibility.
• Integrate, control, and consolidate the Group's holding company, including intercompany transaction reconciliation.
• Participate in annual audits.
• Continue improving financial closing processes and periodic reporting.
• Contribute actively to the implementation and execution of internal control procedures.
• Participate in various finance department improvement projects.

Your profile

• Educational background: Bachelor's degree, Federal Accounting Certification, or an equivalent qualification.
• Required experience: At least 5 years in an accounting role with digitalization expertise, preferably in an international mid-sized company.
• Strong knowledge of financial applications (e.g., SAP Business One) and office software.
• Professional proficiency in French and English.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative.
