Your role

As a Network Security Engineer at Bank J. Safra Sarasin, you are an experienced engineer willing to actively shape our networking landscape and be a valuable part of our infrastructure department. As a group IT service provider, we provide all network security related services out of Switzerland to our group entities across the globe, offering you the opportunity to work in a diverse and international environment. You will work on both "run the bank" and "change the bank" areas and provide continuous operational support to our infrastructure, based on state-of-the-art solutions/technologies, working closely with leading providers in all network and security related areas.

Your responsibilities

• Operate the global network environment (CISCO, firewalls, proxies, DNS, DDoS, NAC)
• Ensure stable operation, including resolving network-related issues and keeping the infrastructure up to date
• Support projects with network solution designs in alignment with other infrastructure teams
• Implement solutions in the context of projects as a technical responsible and solution architect
• Document network services, including network design and operational manuals
• Support the on-call organization as a member

Your profile

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, completed apprenticeship, or similar education
• Passed IT network certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, CCSA, CCSE, etc.)
• At least 5 years of practical experience in the networking security area (routing, switching, firewall, proxy, DNS)
• Experience with ITIL methodologies, Linux, and shell scripting
• Experience with designing and implementing network infrastructure
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize
• Willingness to take responsibility and work under pressure
• Fluency in English; fluency in German is a plus
