As a SharePoint On-premises / M365 Engineer, you will be a key contributor to our team, responsible for developing and maintaining applications in both SharePoint on-premises and the M365 platform. Your primary focus will be on technical development, ensuring a seamless transition to the M365 Cloud and supporting daily business operations. Here are your essential responsibilities for this role:

Development

  • Understand, design, implement, and maintain O365, SharePoint on-premises, and Power Platform solutions;
  • Create comprehensive solutions based on SharePoint object model and Microsoft Power Platform components like Power Apps, Power Automate, and SharePoint;
  • Develop detailed design artifacts such as program specifications and test plans;
  • Independently develop and review code to meet quality standards;
  • Design and implement solutions aligned with business strategy, security requirements, and compliance guidelines.

Migration Strategy and Execution

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and execute migration strategies for transitioning from on-premises systems to M365;
  • Manage migrations related to SharePoint, file shares, OneDrive, and Teams;
  • Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance during the migration process.

Technical Support and Troubleshooting

  • Provide technical assistance to end-users, addressing SharePoint-related issues promptly;
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges related to SharePoint and M365;
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance system performance and user experience.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of SharePoint architecture, features, and functionalities;
  • Proficient in SharePoint migration tools such as Sharegate, SPMT, or Metalogix;
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate);
  • Certification in Microsoft 365 or SharePoint is a plus;
  • Strong critical thinking skills to understand business pain points and propose effective solutions;
  • Experience in financial services and/or asset management is advantageous;
  • Excellent English oral and written communication skills; German is a plus.

  • Home Office: After a successful probation period, you will meet colleagues three days in the office and have the option to work two days remotely in Switzerland. A Home Office allowance is provided.
