Senior Research Associate (In vitro)

Are you looking to drive groundbreaking medical research and make a real impact? Join our client as a Senior Research Associate and lead the way in advancing Non-Malignant Hematology.

Proclinical is seeking a dedicated Research Associate to join a collaborative team focused on developing therapies for non-malignant haematological disorders, particularly hemoglobinopathies. You will primarily work with cell-culture based in vitro models to assess the efficacy and safety of new therapeutic strategies. This role requires proficiency in cell culture assays and various in vitro techniques such as flow cytometry and qPCR.

Please note that to be considered for this role you must have the right to work in this location or hold an EU passport.

Responsibilities:

• Work with cell lines, primary cells, and patient-derived materials.
• Evaluate novel therapeutic targets using genetic manipulation assays and molecular assays like flow cytometry and qPCR.
• Occasionally work with transgenic mouse models for tissue collection and processing.
• Design, execute, and interpret data from studies, contributing to assay optimization.
• Maintain detailed documentation and communicate findings effectively to the research team.
• Collaborate with team members, share duties, and contribute to a positive work environment.

Key Skills and Requirements:

• Degree in Life Sciences (cellular/molecular biology, pharmacology, immunology, haematology) or equivalent experience.
• Extensive experience in cell culture and in vitro molecular assays.
• Proficiency in flow cytometry.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to support a dynamic team.
• Relevant industrial work experience.
• Excellent data management and record-keeping skills.
• Fluent in English with a collaborative team spirit.
